2007 Ford Focus 1.6 TDCI 90BHP - 1.6 Ford Focus turbo power loss. Hello all, I had the standard Ford Focus turbo failure. I'm pretty sure it was due to a blocked oil strainer. I went for the refurbished BTN turbo with the fitting kit including the new oil feed pipe, banjo bolts, gaskets and copper seals.

Ok The boost pressure control solenoid is actuated by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) according to the input signal received from the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor. The boost pressure control solenoid is located at the rear of the engine block and has 3 vacuum hoses attached to it a 2 pin multiplug I found that the turbo boost pressure at 1600 rpm was 0.4 psi with the EGR valve connected, but when I disconnected the plug on the EGR valve, the engine was noticeably quieter and the boost pressure at 1600 rpm increased to around 2.3 psi.
